Dr. Jessica K. Rebueno Santos - Opening and Flag-Raising Ceremony, with special thanks to our morning energizer dancers, Dr. Melai Frange, Dr. Krystark Gomez and Dr. Maxine Remulla - you set the tone for the Foundation Week and everything else that followed was fun and a joy to watch and take part in.
Dr. Arnon Rivera - for the launching of the Center for Oral Health graced by two UP Presidents, then outgoing President Danilo Concepcion and at that time incoming President Angelo Jimenez, and our very own Chancellor Carmencita Padilla.
Dr. Josievitz U. Tan-Zafra - our ever dependable special events organizer for the very first Pinning and White Coat Ceremony for the incoming clinicians.
The Technology Transfer and Business Development Office - for the very informative Fundamentals of the Intellectual Property System and to the resource speakers, faculty, staff and students, guests, who made it a success.
The UPCD Student Council - who came up with activities every day of the week from the Game Night, Lunch and Learn, Dentolympics, Dental Trade Fair, Vaccine Booster Drive, Dent Got Talent and the Ambassador and Ambassadress of Smile Pageant.
Dr. Erick Quiniquini - who was the faculty point person for the super-saya Dentolympics
Dr. RA Rosanes - the faculty point person for the Grand Alumni Homecoming
Dr. Krystark Gomez, Dr. Franz Agustin, Dr. Dan Santiago - for guiding the student council in their culminating activity.
Dr. Monica Sison-Quiambao, the UPDAA President who was with us from the beginning
Dr. Armin Segarra - who helped me host the first ever Afternoon Tea with the alumni which turned out to be a very lovely get-together, reminiscing happy times
And of course, the Class of 1998, who was the host of the first hyflex Alumni Homecoming. Thank you for bringing back the Homecoming to where it belongs, our home, the UP College of Dentistry. Having President Jimenez, who just officially assumed the UP Presidency a day before, as our Guest of Honor doubly made the homecoming very memorable. Their class also hosted a Tribute to the Non-Academic Personnel.
The success of the UPCD 108th Foundation Anniversary event would not have been possible if not for our "hidden figures", our unsung heroes. They were not in the photos, they did not post in facebook or instagram, but without them, we would have been lost:
Our Administrative Officer, Ms. Caye Paras-Ong, who helped facilitate just about everything.
Our technicians, Mr. Gette Aranzaso and Mr. Jerson Garlando, who made sure that everything was in order and in tip-top form, with the able help of Dr. Krystark Gomez, the Chaiperson of the Building and Equipment Maintenance Committee
Mr. James Mallari who was our runner and helped in almost everything and anything
