The UP College of Dentistry was well represented in the International Collaborative Symposium hosted by Niigata University Faculty of Dentistry and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia last February 8-9, 2026.

Aside from the two-day symposia, Dean Michelle Segarra also attended the Deans' Meeting where collaborating universities discussed future plans which include continued faculty and student exchange programs and scholarships for graduate studies.

The 2-day symposium was led by Dean Makoto Inoue of the Faculty of Dentistry Niigata University, Professor Hiroshi Ogawa of the Division of Preventive Dentistry Niigata University and Dean Tuti Ningseh Mohd Dom of the Faculty of Dentistry Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Many thanks also to Dr. Kaung Myat Thwin of the Division of Preventive Dentistry Niigata University for ably organizing the symposium.
