Dr. James Young was instrumental in founding the UPDAA-USA, an organization composed of UPCD alumni based in the USA. Under his leadership, UPDAA-USA was able to raise funds for the construction of the UPCD building and for the purchase of several much-needed equipment. He was one of the most generous benefactors of our College. His contributions include the James Young Student Scholarship and the James Young Professorial Chair which have benefited many faculty members and students.
Dr. James Young was a recipient of several awards such as the 2003 Outstanding Professional in the field of Dentistry (UPMAA), Outstanding Service Award from the National Association of Filipino Dentists in America (NAFDA), Dedicated Service Award Whittier Dental Society, Most Outstanding Service Award, Southern California Filipino Dental Society among others.
Thank you very much Dr. James Young! We will miss you!
