Courtesy call and visit at the Tokyo Institute of Science (formerly Tokyo Medical and Dental University)

Dean Michelle Segarra and Dr. Maja Romero, both alumni of the Tokyo Medical and Dental University paid a courtesy call to Dean Yoda of the Graduate School of Dentistry, Tokyo Institute of Science last October 22 to 24, 2024. The meeting was to further affirm the collaboration between the two academic institutions. Tokyo Institute of Science was formerly Tokyo Medical and Dental University. With the merger with Tokyo Institute of Technology, it is now the Tokyo Institute of Science.
Dr. Segarra and Dr. Romero also visited and did some exploratory studies at the Department of Cariology and Operative Dentistry and had a brief meeting with Professor Yasushi Shimada to discuss future research on cariology and restorative dental materials.
They also had a brief meeting with the Chairman and Professor of the Department of Oral Health Promotion, Professor Jun Aida.
